I got this basket to store my potatoes in. It is much better than having a plastic bag of potatoes on the counter. I gave it four stars because some of the wicker was broken off.

Beautiful, durable and fits perfectly on my counter. I did buy the onion basket for its intended purpose but my 5 lbs bag of potatoes fits perfectly! I plan to buy a second basket for my onions. Love this item.
