Our toilet tank is flush with the wall so we left the bottom support crosspiece off until we fitted the bottom portion over the toilet, we then added the crosspiece in place, then the top unit. I have four cats that all have special requirements in their diet, so this makes it so much easier than the set up I had before to separate the food and see how much is left.
