It is a gorgeous piece of furniture in the photo. It was packed in a Wayfair warehouse in wood lumber. Zero padding.. of course on opening it, it had an enormous crack and bent frame. Wayfair a week ago assured me they would send another and pack it correctly for a very delicate acrylic piece of furniture. It’s common sense frankly. After four phone calls, three emails and online portal notes, I have not been given any communication until today via a manager voicemail after call #4. Even then, no comment was made regarding packing it carefully nor an approximate ship date. It’s exhausting, a piece of furniture about $1000 and to feel completely disrespected and disregarded. I’ll follow up if the company decides to send professional communication in a timely way and where its associates know what is actually occurring as their prodigious notes appear lost on most of them. A second trunk was sent after some eight phone calls and six emails. Many notes were supposedly taken to cushion and protect the delicate piece. The resolution person was not helpful at all. No one in the company actually ensured the second unit was sent in more than a wood crate with some minor cardboard around the edge and a few corner protector plastic poeces. It came with a smaller 2 inch crack in the back, not as easily visible. I gave up, I kept it and made no more calls. It’s exhausting. Not even a moving company would package and wrap a piece like this so carelessly, now twice. In conclusion, I can give the piece five stars but I am being very generous in my review as the service and ability to send to truly cushioned was zero, for that I give one star. Most people would not give the overall piece more than 2-3 stars based on its lack of protection twice and service within the company with no one including the resolutions team fully taking accountability for any of it. I’ve been a wayfair customer for years and never had such issues. My single piece of advice is if you are patient and willing to accept suboptimal communication and the possibility of a broken unit needing replacement and luck that a replacement makes it, you eventually will get what you want. For a very costly piece of furniture this is not at all how the matter should be handled. Frankly white glove service should be offered and I did suggest it but that went ignored too. I even offered to pay for it and that was declined. If the company actually read the reviews perhaps someone will decide to actually do something to change either how it is packed or to offer white glove service even for a fee. None of this should happen to anyone and that is why I’m spending so much time writing this review. Again the best I can do is four stars as the final piece is gorgeous however the service and delivery, and attention to protective packing were all abysmal. I’ve attached one photo from each cracked trunk. In the end, Wayfair offered a discount I accepted it do both myself and Wayfair have good will as it’s the vendor who sold it that does the packaging per Wayfair.. Adam. Fort Lauderdale, FL.
