I probably overpaid but this is a really beautiful and sturdy piece that will uplift whatever room you choose. I originally wanted this beside my front door but even having the measurements it was still larger than I imagined. i ended up putting it in my office, and instead of using it for shoe storage, using it as supply storage. the shipping is a different story, it took a really long time to arrive. it's already assembled and was well packaged in a wooden crate. for the price, the shipping company really should of discarded the wooden crate. its been a pain to disassemble and throw away. definitely need muscle to take it out of the crate and discard of crate. The item is exactly as described and appears as shown in the photos. The wood it is constructed of is very lightweight, and the overall quality is ok - I would not say the quality matches the high cost of the item. I selected the inside delivery option, thinking it would be unboxed and placed inside, as other items delivered by that option have been. I guess it is my fault for not reading the fine print, though, as the delivery guys dropped off a massive shipping crate that I had to use a screw driver to open. I then had to remove the item in a shipping box and unpack it. The convenience of having an item arrive fully assembled is significantly lessened by now having a huge, wooden shipping crate sitting in my living room that I now have to figure out how to disassemble and dispose of.. Overall very pleased with this side board cabinet. It fit well in our kitchen as extra storage of appliances and dishes. The only negative is that there are no sliders on the drawers to make them easier to open. I loved that fact that it came basically pre-assembled so all we needed to do was install the shelves.
