I love this rug! I had a regular kitchen runner in front of my sink island and it never felt very comfortable, so I ordered this and I’m so glad I did! And it was kind of an odd size (3x5) for a kitchen rug, but I wanted to give it a shot. It’s almost the same length as the runner, but it’s a bit wider width, which I love because I have a wide space between my island and my opposite counter. But what I really love about it is that it has more thickness than the previous rug and it is so, so velvety soft under foot. I’m usually in the house & kitchen barefoot, so this plush feeling is really important to me. It’s still a low profile rug, but the way it’s finished feels really luxe and plush. It has a fairly good non-slip backing - enough to mostly stay in place on my slate-look ceramic tile floors. It’s a printed pattern, but very detailed and well done. The deep reds and creams add some color and vibrancy to what is in otherwise pretty much black-and-white kitchen. It’s held up perfectly for the past month under constant foot traffic and the occasional water splashes from the sink - still looks like brand new. And like I said it feels so good underfoot; there’s some sort of thin layer of foam so it feels more cushy than a standard rug does. I love the pattern. I love the color. I love the feel. I highly recommend this rug. It’s an excellent price point, so if it does start to show wear and tear, which kitchen rugs usually do, I will gladly replace it with the exact same one. Absolutely love this rug! The colors are rich without being overwhelming, and the distressed vintage look is even prettier in person. It’s soft underfoot, lays flat quickly, and adds so much warmth and character to the room. Great quality for the price!
