This is an elegant piece of furniture made with attractive high quality wood, and robust hardware. It is strong and stable, and allows us to put our hanging basket chair wherever we want.
In contrast the instructions were a single page that looked like it was printed on a laser printer running out of toner. The instructions were minimal and often illegible. We printed out a product photo from the Wayfair web site to help us figure out how to put it together. The shipping box was thin cardboard given the weight of the contents, and the ends of the legs poked holes through the carton. The hardware was packed in cloth bag that split open during shipping, spilling some of the contents. Fortunately nothing was lost.
Assembly is not a trivial effort; the pieces are heavy and two people are definitely required. The parts do not interlock in any way; assembly involves lining up holes to insert the bolts, which requires jostling and nudging the pieces into alignment. Two simple tools are provided for tightening the hardware, but you'll be much better off using your own socket set and wrenches. Having a large flat surface, like a garage floor, will make assembly much easier, helping to keep the parts properly aligned.
Bottom line, except for the packaging issues and poor instructions, this is beautiful piece of garden furniture which is much more attractive, and should be more durable, than the tubular metal alternatives.
