The rug is absolutely gorgeous. Mine is 9 1/2 by 12 feet and intended to transform the dreary beige carpeting in the living room of house I rent. It is not for everyone, but I find it striking and the highlight of the room. It is hand-stitched. The patterns are not different colors, they are different material surfaces, there are three different surfaces creating three layers of carpeting. I have never seen an area rug or carpeting quite like this and could not be happier. As much as I love the rug, there were problems with delivery. The manufacturer first shipped the wrong rug. When I received the correct rug, there was serious damage to it; a five by five inch tear from the side. I could see the damage before fully unwrapping the rug and it was obviously damaged during shipping or in a warehouse. Wayfair, as always, made everything better.
