This ice maker is really fast and relatively quiet. It is compact enough to fit under my kitchen cabinets. The reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the basin where the ice is kept is not a freezer that keeps the ice frozen. It’s an ambient tray with holes in it so that as the ice melts, it drips back into the water reservoir from which the unit draws water to make the ice. Stunning in my kitchen! I use it for the ice pellets (AKA sonic ice) which are perfectly formed.
