This knife is gorgeous. It’s perfectly sized for my hand and the weight is ideal. It cut so smoothly initially. Unfortunately, in spite of impeccable care and rhythmic honing, its sharpness reduced within weeks. Months later, it has a distinctly different and disappointing cut.

This is my favorite knife so far. I have small hands, yet the size of the handle provides a perfect grip. The blade cuts perfectly. It's also a beautiful knife.

I have other Shun Premier knives, including the chef’s, which is an absolute work of art and indispensable kitchen tool that I love. However, since purchasing this one, I find myself always reaching for it when cooking, no matter the job. Great versatility and feel.
