Super trancheuse WÜSTHOF Gourmet

This is probably the best knife!!! Serve me over 12 years and it still in perfect shape! This knife is the reason I purchased the whole set of wusthof knives!

I've had the Super Slicer for more than 15 years and in spite of regular and fairly heavy use, it has never needed sharpening until now. I originally bought it for hard shell squash (and I was NOT disappointed), but I soon began using it for all vegetables. I don't eat meat so I've never used it to cut roasts, etc. It's well-weighted, comfortable in my hand, and makes a very tidy cut. I'd say if you can only buy one really high quality knife, make it a Wusthof. I love the Super Slicer for veggies but suspect that any of their products would offer the same excellent service.

I LOVE this knife! It cuts through everything! My only complaint is that it's so big! A smaller version of this knife would be the best knife in the world!
