Many people love the patina, but if you wish to restore a shinier finish try our simple homemade cleaning recipe: Dissolve 1 Tablespoon of salt in 1/4 cup of vinegar. Use a soft paper towel to apply the solution to a small area of the kettle and rinse quickly under running water. Continue until the entire kettle is shiny. Pat dry with a soft paper towel. Commercial copper cleaners are too strong for this surface and will damage it so please use our homemade cleaning recipe instead.

I love this tea kettle. The whistle is loud, but very pretty. I do not care for the sharp whistles of other kettles and this is the only one I have found that is both loud and pleasant to the ears. This teapot is beautiful! It looks so retro like from the 70s. It heats up water perfectly. The only thing is that it doesn't have a whistler at the top of the spout to let you know when the water is heated up enough.
