This fan came nicely packaged. I’d say the color of the rattan is a bit lighter than the product photos. Also, I noticed that the white paint on the inner pieces is sort of streakynot fully covering. There was also some white paint on that middle clear plastic piece that flaked off when I touched it. I still plan to install, but I docked it a star for some of these details. Love how it looks but you have to use the remote in order to control the fan, which I can get over. I am sure it probably says this in the description somewhere and I over looked it. What is really annoying about this product is the beeping. Anytime the light is turned on, with remote or wall switch, the unit makes a loud beep. We called for support on this from the manufacturer and they said it can’t be disabled. Every time we want to turn the light on the our baby’s room there’s a loud beep, non-negotiable. This is a very unique ceiling fan!!! It has a lot classic design with the 5 blades that could be black or brown on the opposite side. I love the crystal look on the center piece around the globe. The ceiling fan we had you could not even feel it on high speed. We replaced it with this one and even on a low number on the hand held remote, I can feel it in another room. It is well made and I love the two tone with the black base and brown blades. I was looking for one with metal blades, but I do not think it would have had any more effect than this one. This can be put in reverse mode too and that helps to throw any cool air from the ac that rises, back down into the room. Great design works great! However, its heavy had issues installing it. The fan comes with a base plate which secures it to the ceiling. The base plate adds 1 to 2 to the mount, so I had to go out buy longer bolts to secure it to the ceiling.
