Ensemble de couteaux à steak Shun Kanso (Ensemble de 4)

Beautiful knives! Sharp blade and very smooth cutting. I love the unique aesthetic of the rustic handle.

These knives look very functional - even lethal - in the box, but when held, they hurt my hand. The problem is that a long strip of metal sticks up out of the top of the knife and out of the bottom of the knife, so instead of feeling nice smooth wood in your hand when you pretend to slice, you feel the edge of steel instead. I would not enjoy using these to cut a steak, so will be retuning them.

The Kanso steak knife works very well, but the blade surface finish looks quixotic. This knife was selected for the blade style (i.e. more straight than convention- ally curved kissakis).
