This mirror is beautiful. It appears to be just like the picture. It was easy for my electrician to hardwire and mount to the wall. He attached it to a wall switch. That is a nice convenience but worth noting it does reset the mirror's front lighting to the primary setting each time it is turned off and back on that way. I don't mind since the primary setting is my preference. The front lighting is not extremely bright if that is what you are going for. I wanted improved lighting in a bath with no natural light for applying makeup and doing my hair but I did not want the lighting to give me a false sense of what I would see out in natural daylight. This mirror is a great solution for me. Light control is on the front and does not appear odd in any way.
