It definitely is not black. It is a charcoal grey. The picture was very deceiving. For this reason I am returning. So disappointed. Was really hoping it was black.

These curtains are nice and do block light well, but they are quite different than pictured. Everyone who has seen them agrees they are grey, not black, and the pattern looks much larger than in the photo.
