Banc de rangement en bois Silvia

Ive had this less then a year, and I am very unhappy. I have not been able to find the email to let the company know how badly this bench has faired. It was not abused in any way, it fact I thought I had taken very good care of it until we tried to use it this spring.

This bench looks nice and seems sturdy. I needed it to hide some ugly sprinklers in my yard and as storage for my kids outside toys (badminton set, soccer balls, nerf balls). As others mentioned it isnt water tight, but I was surprised to find it came with a bag insert that is waterproof, Velcros into the bottom and zips up). Only reason for 1 less star is for assembly. While most of it is easy, I did it by myself, when you get to screwing in the top they have the hinges already on the top piece and want you to screw it into the bottom. This make no sense because with the backing you cant line up the hinges as the directions say. Of they had screwed the hinges on the bottom and then left the top for you, it would work. This could be fixed of you are willing to unscrew the hinges and them screw them back in by bottom and then top. I was too lazy to do that so I just flipped the hinges around. Now I have more of a gap in the back and I had to adjust the side gears. But it works.

Perfect for my gardening tools and keeps the mess hidden so my porch still looks nice.

Assembly instructions were very confusing.

we really enjoyed the storage bench once we figured a way to get the screws in the lid. the base of the bench was a snap to assemble. it came with the hinge already screwed into the lid of the bench. the door would not open wide enough to get the bottom screws in. we finally had to take the hinge off the lid of the bench and screw it into the bench base first. after that it was easy to get the hinge screwed to the lid of the bench. We are enjoying the storage area. like the liner that came with it.
