[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice knife, heavy weight but not too heavy to hold. the sharp blade cuts really nicely. While I think this is an excellent knife, I’m not sure it’s better than other more affordable knives

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have reached for this knife more than the knifes I've had for years. It is so beautifully crafted. It has weight to it but still light enough for cutting, slicing and dicing. It's comfortable in the hand and very precise. It's such a sharp knife, so be very careful when using as well as cleaning. At first I questioned how one knife can be so expensive, especially when you can get a whole set right? But I now I see why it's worth every penny.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Shun Shirannami 7” Santoku is absolutely one of the best kitchen knives I’ve ever owned. The first thing you notice about this knife is the 71-layer damascus steel with it’s awesome white capped wave pattern. Not only does this knife look pretty, the dual-core steel is insanely sharp and stays that way longer than any knife I have ever owned. I have owned another type of 7in Santoku Shun knife for almost 15 years and it's still the one I grab for most of my kitchen cutting. That says everything! This truly is one of those if you know, you know! For me the 7” size is perfect, it's the one I handle the easiest vs the 8in. I do not have small hands either, my fingers are long and for me the 7in isn't too small or too large. It's the perfect “Goldilocks” size. One very unique quality of this knife, among many, is its handle color. It's a “Prussian Blue”. While it looks black in normal kitchen lighting, It shows its deep blue ocean colors when it hits the light just right. The handle is a jute micarta, that has a nice smooth texture to it, though it's not slippery no matter what I get on my hands when cutting/prepping. I really love the bolster design, it makes your pinch grip feel so natural and professional. This knife is a stunning combination of high -quality Japanese craftsmanship along with its gorgeous Japanese artwork. I always make sure that I hand-wash and dry my Shun knives to keep it in in great shape- no dishwashers allowed for this beauty! The balance and performance of this knife, make it a forever knife. Once you hold it in your hands, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. It’s honestly a beautiful functional piece of art that makes cooking so much fun and not to mention easier. It slices through a pineapple like butter. what more could you want or ask for from a Santoku knife? If you know, you know!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am absolutely in love with the Shun Shiranami 7 Santoku! The blade material (71-layer Damascus steel) is top-notch, providing incredible sharpness right out of the box. The ergonomics of the Prussian blue micarta handle make it incredibly comfortable to hold and the perfect balance of the knife makes everyday slicing and dicing effortless. Plus, it holds its fine edge beautifully even after heavy use. Highly recommend! #Influenster #Shiranami

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The blade come in a very fancy box. The design is honestly just the logo of their brand, nothing intriguing. The blade is sharp but, not sure if it's durable yet. The blade can be used for alot of cutting techniques. The price is ridiculously expensive for 1 knife.
