I haven't put it together, but looking at it closely, it will work fine for shade protection. The accordion style always collapse under the rain. The fabric always stretches' too. We will how this one holds out. The price was good.

Works just fine ... you get what you pay for, dont expect it will stand up to a big storm but I dont need it to.

I use it as a simple mini-marquee in the nice weather. I have attached tighten the top and bottom corners with the fence because the wind and rain make it move away. For my first order, it was broken same week in end of April (incertain weather here in Quebec for snow). Wayfair change it for me with a photo proof. Thankful for that. I have bought the protection plan previously. The white metal bars are very thins. The base is not solid enought in the ground. I had to put rocks on them.The pressure from the light snow on the top cover or hard rain will make it collapse. So now i am removing time to time, the water that stays on the border top cover. It made the job until now. Ideally remove the cover if it rains and leave the metal bars. The Wayfair picture is what you see. Next year I will put a wooden garden marquee instead.

Was perfect as a temporary cover for the summer… would have lasted longer but I forgot to remove the curtains for the night and we had a big storm, than it bent from the curtains flying around

The tent was supposed to be height adjustable but isn't. There's also no carry case and the metal beams and joints are super low quality. I doubt this tent will last a year. Pretty much a throw-away product. Would rather pay twice the price for something better quality that is going to last a long time. If you just need a quick fix for shade, i recommend this but know what you're getting.
