The fireplace itself is nice looking and seems more realistic than some of the others and priced accordingly (under 300) for what you get. The “sizzle” recording feature sounds more like bacon cooking to me than burning logs, though surprisingly it does help to add to the realistic feel of this fireplace over all. However, the installation was more difficult than expected. The frame was problematic as the screw holes weren’t centered but at the top edge. These screw holes being at the top edge, give little to no room for your hands to be effective turning the screwdriver to tighten these 3 frame pieces together and you’re unable to use a power tool because it won’t fit with the pre drilled holes set so close to each top edge. Then it turned out, that the pre drilled holes for the screws weren’t large enough for the screws to thread into without getting stuck half way and the threads starting to strip if trying to just power these further in. (Possibly the holes were pre drilled before the coating was sprayed on) So although, I managed to get it together, it wasn’t as easy as it should have been and was so wobbly with only one screw at the top of each frame piece holding it together that it was difficult for one person to move it, then hold it while attaching it into place on the firebox itself so have a helper for this part or if possible attach these pieces to the fire box first and then to itself instead. However that being said, for the price point, it is decent looking once together, the light of the fire dims or brightens to your liking and heats nicely. The remote is also easy to use. There was also a white wire coming from the side that went unexplained in the directions of what’s included. It took a while before figuring out what it was for. Therefore, the install directions could include this earlier on. Then if the manufacturer would make an easy change in where the pre drilled holes are placed, and enlarge the bit size of those drill holes so the screws wont strip, it would solve the installation issues. It would also be nice if there was other height options or a frame extension on the base because while the width worked out great, the height, if your trying to fit into a regular fireplace opening, most likely is going to fall short. expwhile

Great just what we needed good quality as is in the listing . I would totally recommend this purchase. I also bought the noise remote . My room is finally complete

The item ordered is not what was received. We reached out to customer care and the rep could offer no solution other than we could return what we received. This is Wayfair 's error and we should not have to try & figure out a solution. It seems Wayfair no longer makes customer satisfaction a priority. We will certainly reach out to corporate first thing tomorrow. Extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service received today

Never received this item!! Although tracking showed it had been shipped, it never arrived even after nearly a month had passed. Finally received a refund after contacting Wayfare multiple times.
