The pillow inserts do exactly what you need them to. They are light and fluff up nicely. In my picture you can see them with the covers on them. They fit well. They were packaged well and vacuum sealed. I did have to leave them out to fluff up for 48 hours. I did not use the dryer method. They seem high quality and are exactly what I was looking for. The price is right and I was glad to find a set of two to go with my covers. I have never used throw pillows before but I like that these are so versatile and that I can remove covers, swap them out, wash them, etc without damaging the pillow. I would absolutely purchase these again. They did not get as full as they look in the picture for me but I think that would have occurred if I put more effort into fluffing them. But because I am not sleeping on them or using them other than for decoration I am not very bothered. I also really like that they are hypoallergenic.
