EXCELLENT STURDY, WELL MADE, EASY TRANSITION FROM 6 TO 10 PEOPLE. I did not expect this good quality. I checked out the wood, and it seems well suited to this use. Highly recommended.

Lovely table, very heavy and sturdy. I am very pleased with the delivery and it was in perfect condition and relatively simple to put together. Some reviewers have stated they were displeased with the distressing (wormholes) on the top. There are only three places on the entire table and they look just fine and natural, see my pictures, no complaints at all. Also the leaf is very easy and smooth to bring out and put back under the table.

What works Hardware glides nicely as others have stated. We like the overall look of the table. Two things we didnt notice from online reviews or pictures that we dont love are What doesnt work (for us) 1) wood slats on surface run from side to side, not from (long) end to long end. Plus, the wood slats are short, measuring from 7-11.5 inches. So to me it makes the tabletop seems like its made from cheap scraps of wood. 2) the slit in the middle where the two ends of tabletop comes together has beveled edges. Its not a tight fit like how furniture was made in the olden days. We dont love the look of the beveled edge (also...the table needs to be pulled apart to clean out crumbs that fall in the crack...not a huge deal since the hardware is awesome...but it is an extra cleaning step). 3) There isnt a lot of clearance at the end of the table to the table legs (9). My husband, who is 56 says his legs cram against the table legs when he scoots the chair up to the table. I, on the other hand, am 5, and the end seating is great. I like to prop my feet on the crossbars underneath. (Not sure any of this makes sense).

Only had it 5 days when I went to shorten it the pulley cables broke.

Love this table - better than expected! Very sturdy, with a little edge detail that gives it a "rustic" look. I would definitely recommend it. Very heavy to put together - it took three of us about an hour.

Oh this is a heavy and beautiful table! I’ve had it for two years now and there are some scratches from its perpetual use in a home with children but they only add to the beauty in my opinion. A solid piece of furniture.
