The shelf is nice and sturdy and the pink is a nice color but the shelves if assembled in the standard way are not tall enough for standard hardcover books.

It is two pieces, not one. You need a better tool to screw the main screws all the way in. Quality is ok and instructions are good. If you are a Prime member, currently you can buy it for $20 cheaper given free delivery with Prime.

i put this in our tiny bathroom that had an awkwardly narrow space - fits perfectly there. we bought some of those dollar store cloth storage boxes and they fit great here.
