I live in Portland, Oregon and as everyone knows the wildfires in Oregon and California have been out of control these last few months. I've never been around such bad air quality in my life. Anyways, I kept my windows sealed, stayed inside, but always wondered how the air quality was actually inside even though it smelled okay. Well this Smart Indoor Air Quality Sensor did just that. This is so easy to use, and looks nice and minimalistic inside my home. Lucky for me, my air quality was just fine indoors. It also lets you know other things like the temperature, humidity, air pressure, co2, and lots more! It was super easy to set up, and you can view all the information with the handy app you can download for free. This has been super helpful during this time, and I'll continue to use it everyday.

The recent fires in California have completely butchered and tarnished the air quality in and around many parts of the state and have made breathing conditions incredibly hazardous and difficult. A friend from out of state suggested I get an air quality sensor to keep track of the increase and decrease of healthy air quality (I had never heard of an ‘air quality sensor’). He has been using an air quality sensor for a few years and was incredibly knowledgeable when it came to brands, styles, what it means to monitor the air, the different levels of quality, and the importance of all this for our overall well-being. He recommended a few brands and several different styles, but it was this one that caught my attention. I was initially drawn to this one for its overall look- it’s very sleek, modern, and austere. It has a standout minimalistic feel that I gravitate towards and that goes extremely well with my décor and could easily blend in as any household gadget with any décor. The look of this device aside and really, well beyond the look of it, the features are what really sealed the deal. First off, it’s easy to use and I can do so from my mobile device or Alexa (Google Assistant works, too) – major win here for my household. The device itself is mobile, so I can move it from room to room to monitor the air in my entire house. It offers suggestions, based on the conditions in the room it’s in, to improve the air quality in that specific room. Certain habits, like opening a window or turning on a fan, can help improve air conditions and this device will offer suggestions that promote a healthier home and that help develop better habits. Nothing pains me more than dust and more so, dust bunnies- dust tracking is also one the features on this air quality sensor and it helps prevent dust buildup before it becomes an issue. Our throats are where we tend to notice poor air quality the most and throat irritation seems to be the trigger that reminds us of how bad the air is at the moment, ozone tracking relieves throat irritation and, in our case, reminds us to drink more water. I’m in complete awe of this device and use it every day, which comes easy as the app is installed on my phone and therefore tracking my air quality is literally and the tip of my fingers. I have already purchased one for my parents and siblings, who were at first skeptical of it and confused by the need to track the air quality within one’s home. After they started using it, they were in and we we’re now able to talk about the ups and downs of how we’re doing at home, in terms of air quality, and how it’s affecting our day to day. They understood the affect that the air quality inside our homes has on our lives and that we are in a place where we can control the air, create a healthier home, and improve our lives for the better.

I have found this to be helpful in keeping track of our indoor air quality. We live in Northern California and the smoke from the fires has been terrible. I also am an allergy sufferer so this helps understand what we need to adjust in our home for better air quality. If you live in an urban setting it in the west coast where there are fires, I highly recommend this!
