These turned out beautifully but I severely underestimated the amount of time it would take to get them to this point. I struggled to get these to stain as dark as I wanted. I tried just staining them at first and then had to go back and sand them down to get them to stain darker. I'm obsessed with my new doors! Exactly as pictured. I love the texture and quality. You do have to assemble the doors, but it was easy with clear instructions. The only issues I had was with mounting the railing. My studs weren't 16 inches apart to meet up with the pre-drilled holes. These doors are heavy so you have to make sure you put the bolts in studs. I thought about a header board but that would've made a larger gap between the door and the wall. So I drilled new holes in the railing to place the bolts in studs (which wasn't as easy as I expected). The gap between the door and wall is about 3/4in without a header. Our Chic Mode four-panel sliding barn door has very strong qualities, and the MDF material can have a long service life while not having to worry about any harmful gases! Our divider barn doors are highly storable, allowing you to place any of your favourite items that you have nowhere else to put them. Our barn door fittings are extremely stable and can withstand millions of pushes and pulls.

I joked that this barn door showed up in a box the size of a banana — long and skinny — and it came in several pieces. I don’t know why that surprised me, but it did. Assembly was actually really easy. The instructions were visual only, but clear, I didn’t mind. Installation was a bit trickier because our studs were off, but once it was up, the door hangs well and slides smoothly. The bottom of the door had a pre-cut groove to fit with the floor guide that prevents the door from swinging back and forth.

This door is gorgeous- and just what we needed for this tight space in the main bedroom and bath. Replaced the old swinging door with this sliding barn door to save space and be more functional. The mirror is a great feature for the closet area. We had a lot of difficulty with the install though, otherwise would give this 5 stars. Our door did not come with pre-drilled holes like the instructions stated (we reported this to wayfair so hopefully someone else doesnt run into the same issues) - so we had to drill those ourselves. There were also a few small little dents in the wood- but nothing noticeable once installed. Note- we added the white wood board at the top (behind the black hardware).
