It was ok. Nice quality. I would recommend it.

I was excited about the size of this chicken coop because it offers plenty of room for my flock. Unfortunately, the overall build quality was disappointing. The mesh siding is very flimsy and bends easily, making it feel inadequate for keeping predators out. Several of the metal support posts also arrived with rust already on them, which raises concerns about how well theyll hold up over time. Assembly was straightforward enough, but the materials dont inspire much confidence. If youre looking for a sturdy, long-lasting coop, you may want to consider other options or be prepared to reinforce this one yourself. The spacious design is a plus, but the weak mesh and rusted components make it difficult for me to recommend at the price.

The packages arrived quickly and in good condition. The components are heavyweight and seem to be of good quality. I have given it four stars based on the quality of the components. I am currently dealing with some issues with my back and I am unable to assemble it at this time I will update this review once I have gotten it put together 52026 UPDATE I finally hired a contractor to put the coop together and at first it seemed a bit flimsy just at the joints but once the wire was completely attached and the shades put on it is nice and sturdy. Can’t wait until we can get a nesting box and the girls moved in. This thing is huge!! I’m sure we will have some very happy hens 60826

As much as we would like to let them free range we have already lost 3 of our 28 chickens to hawk attacks. Becuase of this I built a secure pen around their coop that does a great job of protecting them but they needed more space. We purchased this enclosure to give our girls a confined area to run in that gives them access to lots of grass and bugs. It is a good compromise to let them forage and still be protected. Assembly of the frame was easy with no issues at all. The frame itself seems sturdy enough and I dont expect any issues with it over time. While probably not recommended installed this on a slope and attached the enclosure to the protected area I had previously built with brackets. Access to it is allowed via an electric door. The mesh that comes with this looks nice with its green coating but it is VERY thin. Because of this I chose to use thicker chicken wire for the bottom portions, which I me purchased at a well known farm store. Our girls are only out in the enclosure during the daytime hours so hopefully upgrading the chicken wire will keep any critters on the ground from getting to them. I did use the green mesh that comes with the enclosure for the roof area. This should be more than enough to deter any hawks from trying for a chicken dinner. While not really a complaint the door assembly is not very tall. There is easily enough room that the company could have added another 4 or 5 inches in height to the door but for whatever reason they chose not to. My wife is fine with it but I am 6 2 and must always duck before stepping inside. If I dont the metal frame is a good reminder for next time. Ouch! I may redo the door at some point to add some height. Our girls have been enjoying their new playground for a several weeks now. Overall we feel it was a good purchase and so do they. Even if you just used the frame alone and bought all new fencing it would still be worth the cost. I did take off one star though for the included thin chicken wire and the door height. UPDATE The included tarp that goes over one section of the coop for shadeprotection from weather has torn after only 1 months of use. We had wondered if it would make it through a winter here in PA but it didnt even last that long to find out. The rest of the chicken run has held up so far though.

I really love the size of this chicken run. It’s bot super hard to put together. We had two people and put the main frame together in about 30 minutes. It was the doors that took awhile. The chicken wire is set to go up next and will probably be the most taxing. But overall I really like it. There are some bigger gaps in the door where small rodentsweasels could get in through so I’m going to have to close those off somehow. I don’t want to chance a predator getting in. We also have to put wire along the bottom because it sits off the ground a bit.
