Subway Tile
As a popular choice the last few seasons, subway tile now comes in a variety styles to fit many decor aesthetics.
Achieve a modern look with coloured glass tile arranged in a subway pattern. For a classic take on subway tile, stick with white or black ceramic tiles.
Tip! Create a vintage look with a twist by installing white subway tile with a dark charcoal grout.

2 Tile Rug
Use ceramic, porcelain, or glass tile to mimic the look of an area rug in a bathroom. In a skinny or L-shaped bathroom, create a runner instead of a rectangular rug for a striking statement.
If you're planning to install the tile yourself, lay it out and play with the placement of the tiles a bit before installing it in sections.

Tip! For an even more eye-catching look, use colourful accent tiles along the perimeter or in the centre of the design.

3Three Dimensional
Whether in geometric or organic patterns, 3D tiles are an interesting alternative on kitchen backsplashes and in bathrooms.
Light reflects off of the sculptural 3D surfaces, which creates a sense of movement that's especially useful in a monochromatic room or small space.
Tip! Combine 3D wall tiles with 2D tiles to add interest to a wall, like in this bathroom.

4 Metal
Silver tiles create a crisp and cool contemporary look, while gold tiles lend an air of luxury and reflect warm light through a space.
In this kitchen (above), stainless steel tile paired with wood tones on the countertop creates a dynamic look. Sleek metal offers an unexpected contrast against warm wood for a unique backsplash look.

Mosaic
Mosaic tiles create an energetic vibe in any kitchen or bathroom. For a sleek and updated finish, keep a variety of colours and textures in line with linear rectangular tile.
Weave linear glass and stone tiles together for a dynamic look with texture, or add graphic interest with rectangular mosaic tiles in different sizes.
