This replaced some yucky black inserts surrounded by popcorn ceilings. I removed the popcorn and painted the ceiling flat white. So I had to replace these light inserts because they now stuck out like sore thumbs. Easy to install, I just used the hooks that were on the original ones and it was perfect.. Zinfl. FL. These small pot lights appear to be exactly what I needed for my installation. The swivel (gimbal) is ingenious and, as I am installing them on a vaulted ceiling, I should be able to have them point back towards the outside walls instead of towards the middle of the room as non-swiveling pots would have done..
