Since indirect heat is ideal for slow cooking (and infusing smoke flavour), the offset functionality of this smoker is designed to keep direct heat away from the food, which helps to prevent food on the bottom racks from cooking too fast. The combination charcoal and wood chip tray are made with heavy-gauge, porcelain-enameled steel for hours of maintenance-free cooking.

This smoker is exactly what I expected it to be. Everything is there to create some great Bbq. Tweaked it some by adding two more thermometers, door seals on both doors and caulk for the seams. Holds temp beautifully. Once I got the heat right it was game on. Being able to see the temp in the firebox is critical so you know when to add wood or charcoal. So far cooked chicken on it twice and just did a 9.5 lb pork shoulder that when done the meat just fell apart and had an amazing flavor. This unit is just the perfect size, not bulky and I definitely recommend the cover that fits it. Seasoned both boxes before I cooked anything and also added a hole 1/4 inch hole for a meat thermometer in the smoker box up in the top corner. Brisket and ribs are next.. James. Bear, DE. This is my first smoker and it worked like a charm. Directions say a 25 minute assembly time. That's optimistic, although within an hour it was assembled without issue. 2 racks of ribs. I bought this smoker for my husband for Father's Day last year. He loves it! He has used it in every season so far and it cooks well no matter the weather. Just be mindful if it's a windy day to monitor your internal temps. I included 2 pictures, one of my dog who never leaves the vicinity when he cooks and the second of the roominess inside the cooker. So I purchased this for my husband for Christmas and it came from the manufacturer or company that sent it with dents and scratches on the side as it put can see in the pictures. My husband didn’t want to try to repackage it as this item is almost 95 lbs and try to figure out how to get it back. So we opted to keep it as it’s cosmetic and should not affect functionality of it. This item requires some assembling but it’s quite minimal. You only need a screwdriver if I remember correctly. This item is Stainless Steel and a powder coated black housing. The handles are also a stainless steel brushed finish. This smoker does have Bluetooth. You download the app to your phone or tablet and can use the app to control the temperature. The app is extremely basic and nothing special. If this was the reason for my purchase I would have returned it. Absolutely no real creativity put into the functionality of this app In the top part of the smoker you have several metal racks. The top one has hooks for sausage and hanging meats on it. All the racks are removable however the levels are affixed and cannot be adjusted. In the bottom drawer your dripping pan is in there, a water pan as well as a wood chip pan of you choose to use them all the trays can be removed for cleaning. The drawer stays shut by clasp latches. It’s not self closing. By the glider on the drawer seems to move easily enough. The thermal probe is built in and has a nice housing holder on inside of machine to store the probe in Read instructions thoroughly. You must season the smoker before it’s first use. This is an electric smoker so you will need an outlet for it. Place on flat ground as the back has 2 wheels for moving it around. I could not find a custom cover that fits this smoker by the company so, I purchased the Unicook 40” cover and it fits this smoker fully assembled almost perfect. It’s a nice Fit Looking forward to getting to use the smoker for some delicious meals. I would have given 5 stars if item was not damaged, had a better Bluetooth app, had a cover by manufacturer for this model. Yes these are minimal things but they matter.. Joie. Surprise, AZ.
