This product is of very high commercial grade quality. This model is heavy steel, is very sturdy and requires an experienced crew to mount it overhead, especially the 8 foot size. This is not a DIY install. Assembly can be DIY with the right patience and good tools, but not the installation. Also, be prepared with the right mounting hardware (per instructions), before your install crew arrives. No photo can be provided as we are still waiting to have it installed. Cheap. Easy to install. I noticed small holes in the cover after approximately five years, but the support structure is still good. UV probably causes deterioration of the polycarbonate. I really like this awning. It's easy to assemble and install. I did not take into account that it is NOT hail resistant. A hail storm ruined the panels, as hail went right through the panels. I ordered another one, because I really like the awning and its application. This time, I left the protective self-stick packing sheets on both sides of the panels with the hope that the protective sheets will help prevent future hail damage.. Doris. Oklahoma. The canopy works well for our application to shelter a back door from rain. Assembly instructions were reasonably clear but there are no instructions on mounting it to the house, so you will have to figure that out on your own. If you are not an experienced DIY person, you may have some trouble. The mounting hardware supplied is only for mounting to a masonry wall, so if you are mounting somewhere else, you will need to supply your own. The canopy is actually 74" long x 39" deep (extending out from the house). That is not stated anywhere. My application required exactly 72", so I cut one of the panels and supports to make it fit. My awning was installed on vinyl siding using large anchor bolts. The bottom center is a screw (in the photo it's black, not silver) as it hit the header board for the door and an anchor bolt wouldn't work there.
