Good starting project for new to chickens folk. However, chicken wire is NOT good for keeping predators out. So we bought hardware cloth and wrapped the whole lower are to keep out the skunks, raccoons, and coyotes. Which has worked very well.

This seems like a decent item so far. It took us a while to set it up because its been raining so much. We had to put it aside until a few hours of clear weather today to finish it. The frame set up went fast, but today it took a little longer to wrap the netting. We are using it for our berries to keep out deer. We had a shabby set up before and this looks so much better and functional. Wouldnt you know I forgot to take a pic of the finished product and I have to get this review done today. You do need 2 people to put it together. Someone mentioned the 2 clamps on top of the entrance, that the screws were not long enough. You just need to squeeze them tighter so they sit securely and the screws will fit. There was extra netting. The netting comes in one roll. We were conservative when we cut it and found later there was more than enough. The netting is coated which is a plus. The poles have holes at the bottom to anchor it, the stakes are included. They provide tools and 2 pairs of white gloves. There is a rod that stands somewhere near the center where thick wooden rods fit in as chicken perches. The tarp is bright white. Its a nice size, true to its measurements. Wayfair delivered this in a few days. Thanks Wayfair! Update June 2024 I liked this so much, I bought another to use as an enclosed garden. It keeps out the deer and squirrels. Since its not too heavy, and I have potted plants, I can move it to another spot next season if I want. I put the taller plants toward the center, and since Im not very tall, I can get around inside of it.

We needed an extra run for raising our baby chickens. This will work out perfectly once we get it up and running. As you can see there are several metal poles and pieces to put together. I will post more pictures once we have it all up. It’s a pretty basic chicken run so it should be easy enough to install. Stay tuned!!

Exactly what I needed. Perfect size to go in and out with ease. On a scale from 1-10, assembly is about a 4. You get a little more extra mesh with is needed for repairs. There’s a double latch which is convenient.

The Alena Mental chicken run coop exceeded expectations. It is sturdy and made well. It took an afternoon to put together about 2-3 hrs for one person. You’ll need gloves to stretch the wire on the cage. There’s plenty of room for chickens or a small greenhouse for plants. Very happy with this purchase. Shipping very fast too!
