This is a great little hutch. It's not super stable where the 2 pieces join on the side but once the top goes on it's better. It can be easily strengthened with a few extra screws at the top, and some pieces of wood to stabilize the joint on the sides. Once that is done, it's very strong and stable. As with all things, you will want to check it periodically to make sure it is still holding together well and the mesh may need a couple more staples here and there over time, but that's not a big deal. All in all, it worked very well for me. I put the opening top in the middle instead of at the end for extra strength and easier access to catch my ducks. One thing I would say is that the latch isn't very strong. I had to screw it in at an angle to reach. I am planning on fortifying the door with a stronger latch with a longer pin.
