Nice little unit with a sort of Scandinavian aesthetic because of the simple lines and unfinished, solid wood construction. The box portion was very simple to assemble, but attaching the lid nearly broke me like I was a Chincoteague pony. For starters, opt for a drill and not a screwdriver. Second, the hinge placement was baffling until I realized the little jibber jabbers that the screws go through can be swiveled back and forth to meet the wood at the correct angle. I took a picture of these troublemakers for your reference. My sewing supplies are now very excellently stowed, and I can confidently recommend the box for this or similar purposes. You will also probably be satisfied to use this as a blanket box as long as you mean a box for literally a blanket, as in the one and only blanket you own, in which case what is wrong with you. If you are the owner of many blankets, the we can be friends and also you should probably review the dimensions of this item before purchasing. Let me know if you want to hang out.

Perfect for the kids story book or even from the library so they don't get lost in the mess of their rooms.

Nice box for the price. The device that controls the opening is no good, though. Tough to install and would not let the box close completely. We ended up removing it and tossing it away.

Dis not close and came damaged.

This is described and sold as a blanket chest and the photoshopped images falsely portray it as much larger than it actually is. This is barely large enough to store one pillow but certainly not a blanket for anyone older than 12 months. Yes you should check the actual dimensions first but this is still deceptive marketing. Wayfair does take returns but you will pay a lot for shipping. That is their gimmick. Turns out Wayfair is like the Pornhub for furniture and goods that are not in real life as they are portrayed online with the majority of their goods way sexier online than in person.

Unfortunately this was not the size I thought I was getting by the look of it in this picture. I even had a handy put it together. It is too small for what I wanted it for. Oh well.

There were no holes for the hinges. The bracket holes were there but they were not in alignment.
