Certified to NSF/ANSI 58, the RCC7AK water filter is a multi-layered reverse osmosis system under sink that provides optimal protection against over 1,000 different types of contaminants, removing up to 99% of rust, sediment, taste, arsenic, asbestos, chlorine, hormones, fluoride, lead (up to 98%), mercury, sodium, and more. This water softening system is amazing. Bought it and it was delivered in 2 weeks from the United States. The only issue was I have the 3/4 pipe of my water main and the yoke connection of the system is 1” but by request they can supply 3/4 connectors. I’ve contacted Wayfair support and they got hold of manufacturer so it was delivered 3 days after the whole system. The installation process took 1 hour roughly. You just have to buy 5 feet PEX pipe, 3 ball valves, 2 female connectors (for pre filter), 2 of 12 inches long water heater connectors, 2 T-connectors, and 1 elbow (90 degree) . All of these are Push to Fit so you don’t need any professional skills to perform the job. Mind that I’m not a plumber! I really was excited about this water filtration system but after setting it up I have to say I’m kind of disappointed. I have been buying bottled water for a long time because even tap water that’s been filtered through a filter that attaches to my kitchen faucet gives me heartburn. On top of that I got a letter from the city saying my water is coming into my house through lead pipes! So I felt it was time to up my water filtration game! My biggest concern with this system is that I wasn’t able to find a replacement filter anywhere. The manufacturer and big box store that sell them show them as sold out. This system came with a filter but what good is it if I can’t get a replacement filter when I need one The set up was a pain as well because it requires running four liters of water through the machine three times before you can use it. So, after all that, how does the water taste It’s ok. It’s not really good tasting water. It also takes up more counter space in my small house. It does what it says so I give it four stars but I’m not going to tell all my friends to buy one. Also, two pieces of plastic were broken off the lid to the water reservoir. I’m 75 so this thing is a bit hard for me. I didn’t realize the compartment for clean water and used water were in the back. It’s heavy to turn around for me and lifting the water is difficult. You must wash the whole thing every week. My sink is high, newer apt, I’m 4 11” and that’s lifting at chest level. I think for younger folks it’d be great but when it’s done cleaning the water there is about a days worth for me. Otherwise for what it is it’s great! It does take up one counter at my apt. The WSP series spin down sediment filter is the first line defence to your appliances. It protects and extends the life of your standard filters by removing the large dirt, sand, and rust particles before they reach the rest of your plumbing system, including water softeners and expensive appliances. The WSP series is flushable and reusable. It is recommended to flush it regularly (daily or weekly), depending on the water usage, sediment amount and the hardness level. However, as hardness tends to form hard scale that clogs the screen, simple flushes may not be sufficient. When necessary, remove the stainless steel cartridge and clean it with a brush and/or soak it in vinegar. The WSP spin down sediment filter comes with a variety of options in micron size.Smaller microns allow less through, but to get most life and efficiency out of your filters it’s important to only go as small as you need. Differences in water quality and your water pressure affect the performance of the WSP.
