This is beautiful for the space in the bedroom. It is 59” across and the mantle is 64”. It was extremely easy to assemble. The screws for attaching the firebox are easy self drilling screws, so don’t have pre- drilled holes. As others said, it is top heavy and wants to fall forward. A bottom shelf inside horizontally might fix the instability. Company should work to improve this design flaw. I found a door wedge on both sides secures it in place. Will probably exchange to clear ones. I didn’t want it secured to the wall yet with the enclosed anti-topple devise so I can change the room around. Definitely needs securing in place though. For permanence, I would use inconspicuous L brackets. The bigger Real Flame Alcott 75” is stable having a bottom to it. Yes this is my second Real Flame purchase! Caulking the crevices gives it the carpenter complete built in look. Did not get it for the heat, just the flame aesthetic. I do use the timer feature. The stone parts came in one box, the mantle piece in another, and the heating element/fireplace in the third. It was so easy to setup! The entire unboxing, putting it together and cleanup took just about 1 hour. I do recommend a second person to help with setup because it is a big fireplace over 5 feet wide and 4 feet tall. The fireplace comes with a remote control and you can change the color of the fire, the intensity of the heat, the brightness of the flame and it turns on and off with the push of a button. You can also use the fireplace without the heater turned on if you just want to enjoy the ambience of the fireplace. IIt is recommended for use in 120 volt 3-prong outlets. I ordered this stone mantle it is absolutely beautiful. The delivery was quick and the unit was not damaged in anyway as it was well packed. What I love about it is that it does not take up a lot of room on the floor nor on the wall it is a thin unit which is exactly what I needed as a mantle! Just know that when you install it, you need to put a stronger adhesive to make sure it does not come off-the-wall. You also need to cut down the inner tiles that attach to the legs of the mantle so the inner tile on the top can fit appropriately. you also need to put a 2 x 4 behind the top of the mantle to help with the support of the weight of the top of the mantle as well. I have included a picture of the mantle in my space as well as the mortar we used! What is helpful is that the legs to come with metal straps to screw into the wall which helps with installment and secure Ness of the legs! The fireplace is perfect. We love the colour and style. The problem we have had is that the electric fireplace insert was in front of the filler panels and the panels needed to be professionally cut and glued onto a wooden frame along the inside of the front of the opening.
