Because of its material composition, it can withstand thermal shocks and temperatures up to 560 degrees Fahrenheit. Granite is naturally sound-absorbing for a quieter kitchen. Because the drain is placed at the centre back of the sink you have more unobstructed under-cabinet space and basin surface area up top!
