My weight is distributed properly along the mattress surface into anatomically correct position, whether I sleep on my back or my side. I purchased 10” because I prefer my beds low. It is perfect!. Our new Avenco gel memory foam mattress is very good for our 9 year old son’s bed. We ordered a queen to replace his older one, which was way too firm. This new one is just firm enough, but you still sink into the foam a bit. When I lay down on it, I wake up much less sore, because the other one actually hurt my back. Ok, the biggest issue right now is the smell. We are still trying to get that to go away. The directions said to strip the bedding during the day and put a fan in the direction of the bed with a window open. It’s only been four days since we opened it up, so we are crossing our fingers that the smell subsides. Thus, the reason for the 4 stars. For comfort, it definitely deserves 5 stars.. Maureen. One con is the medium-firm advertising is misleading in a sense it shows a chart of soft - medium- firm not medium firm so it is more so to the firm side for sure but overall good deal go buy on you will love it. Really great for the price, quite comfortable. Very easily unpacked and it expanded as it should. The only downside, which I won't knock it for, is they give you a little slicer to cut open the extremely tight packaging. Do this very slowly, I went a little too quickly and accidentally nicked the mattress itself, so it has a tiny cut in the fabric.. Pamela. Waterloo, ON. Fri Oct 23 2026

So far, I’m in love! Just unboxed and letting take more shape for the day before we sleep on it tonight but, wow! Our last mattress was a Puffy, all foam, and plush. It was wayyyy too soft for us and was killing our backs. So I took a chance on this after reading the reviews and getting in for the sale. Best decision ever! I’m not exaggerating. It’s not even fully formed yet but I know it’s going to be a massive improvement and just what we needed for better back support. The shallow pillow top adds a softness that’s needed so you don’t feel like you’re sleeping on the ground. But the firm structure underneath is absolutely incredible. The best of both worlds!
