My wife and I wanted an attractive pendant light over our dining room table, to replace a horribly ugly fixture that was in place when we purchased our home. We loved the look of the 5-light Koncept Royyo. Bought it and scheduled an installer. Be aware: the portion of the pendant light you can see in the photos is as wonderful, just as the images suggest. BUT what is NOT shown in the photos is the "canopy" — the part of the light that mounts to the ceiling. It looks like a cheap florescent fixture with lights on strings hanging below it. Perhaps the designer of the fixture intended for the entire 44" canopy to be countersunk in the ceiling. If your ceiling drywall thickness and the direction your of ceiling beams permits that, perfect. The flange would be flush with the ceiling. If not, you'll have the appearance of a cheap florescent fixture from which the lovely lights descend. We are doing what we can to hide the ugliness by having a carpenter build a white molding that fills the gap between the flange and the ceiling. If that doesn't prove to be enough, we'll have a complete box built to surround the canopy. But the white molding, at least, covers the hole cut in the ceiling for the junction box, visible above the middle wire, which the canopy did not cover. Wonderfully designed visually. Poorly implemented practically. Five stars for the appearance of the lights and their visual effect. Zero stars or less for the canopy that looks like a cheap florescent fixture. Disappointing.
