This is the best idea ever, I love it! I was not thrilled about a dark color so I took fabric and glue gunned it all around the wood pieces after I assembled most of it, their was enough room to do this and it worked great. I used a soft upholstry fabric and also laid batting on the broad surfaces. The mechanism works great and does not shut unless you pull it down. I love this bed! It took me 2 days to put it together, (I paid for professional installation however I guess I live to remotely for anyone to put it together.) and all I did was carefully follow the pictures. I am 70 years old and I took my time assembling it. I love the under the bed storage! Only half the LED lights worked however I contacted Wayfair and they are replacing the lights.
