This is the best idea ever, I love it! I was not thrilled about a dark color so I took fabric and glue gunned it all around the wood pieces after I assembled most of it, their was enough room to do this and it worked great. I used a soft upholstry fabric and also laid batting on the broad surfaces. The mechanism works great and does not shut unless you pull it down. Looks good overall, but a couple downsides. One is that when sitting up watching TV or reading, your head leans against the sharp corners of the headboard which is quite uncomfortable. Another is that the slats are very narrow, so if you out a mattress directly on top of the frame it will Sort of seep through as it doesn’t give the mattress great support.. Anonymous. 2 Drawers are at the end of the bed, and they can slide in and out at will, taking up a small area and providing additional storage space, making your bedroom clean and tidy.
