Step into the world of Japanese architectural heritage with this 7 ft. tall shoji sliding door kit. Inspired by traditional shoji screens, which have been an integral part of Japanese architecture for centuries, this sliding door set will transform your home with the artistry and philosophy that have shaped Japanese living spaces. Shoji screens have been used in Japanese homes since the 8th century, providing a delicate balance between privacy and natural light. This ancient design philosophy meets modern functionality as the sliding doors offer a contemporary solution for dividing spaces while maintaining an open atmosphere. This kit includes sliding doors, top and bottom tracks, and right and left door jambs. The rough opening (outside dimension) measures approximately 83.00"H x 73.50"W x 3.50"D, with tracks and jambs approximately 1.75" thick x 3.50" deep. Each door measures approximately 36.00"W x 80.00"H x 1.00"D, allowing for a seamless integration into your living space. Our sliding shoji doors invite you to experience the timeless beauty and functionality that have shaped Japanese interiors for generations. Transform your space into a sanctuary of balance and tranquillity, where modern design meets ancient wisdom.
Simply beautiful! We had to add a 2x4 on the right side and paint it black because our old home’s closets are larger than the standard closets of today. Still it’s 100 worth the money because the aesthetic is breathtaking and cool. Jessica. San Antonio, TX. Wed Jun 18 2025
