Power loomed using 100% New Zealand wool, each piece is sent to our handmade facility where it is hand paddle washed to bring out the softness and rich Patina using the same technique that has been used on heirloom rugs for Centuries. Adding to the handmade look after washing, stretching, and drying, the pieces are then meticulously hand sheared.

This is a well constructed rug overall. The material feels luxurious and pairs well with the rug pad we purchased with the rug. The edges are finished but there are some minor defects; the edges may need to be weighted down so that the rug doesn't rise up. My biggest regret is that the rug is much lighter than I expected and has less blue than is shown in the pictures. Thankfully being as light as it is, I am able to compensate with sofa and accent cushions to achieve a pleasing aesthetic.. Rebecca. Brookline, MA. Tue Jan 18 2022

This "Maratea Collection is Power loomed using a unique blend of proprietary wools from around the globe, this collection is side woven on a power loom and leaving the warp strings to create an authentic fringe that is trimmed to perfection at ¼ inch. Just as authentic hand knotted pieces have been finished for centuries, the stunning designs are then hand stone washed, hand sheared to a low pile height and hand surged by skilled artisans.
