This chair was not hard to put together but it wasn’t easy either. It took two of us because the way it was constructed, one person had to hold the pieces while the other put the screws in or else the pieces wouldn’t line up right for the screws to go in all the way. Once we got them together, I really liked how they looked and fit in our space. They are comfortable however, you can definitely feel the braces underneath. I plan on getting a memory foam pad to cut to size and put under the cushion in hopes I can’t feel them as much. The image also makes it seem like you sit up more than you actually do. When leaning back against the cushion, you are semi-lying down. We needed to put a firm pillow behind our back to be in a more upright, sitting position. I’m unsatisfied with this product. After the sliding bench arrived and the first assembly guy unpacked the box we discovered a very noticeable split in the composite wood front slate. It should have never been packed and shipped. I immediately contacted Wayfair and had a replacement part sent. When the replacement part arrived the second assembly guy discovered two other parts were cracked or split. Consequently, I immediately recontacted Wayfair while the assembly guy was present and asked for a refund. This is an inferior product. *WARNING *Don’t purchase this product! I wasted my time. I got this rocker for my back porch, but it would look great indoors too. It is made of solid fir wood, which is said to be resistant to decay and insects. I love the maintenance free, weather resistant polywood. I have had them outside on the exposed patio for going on 4 years. Unfortunately, we noticed cracks just above the chair arms on the back. Cute and comfy for me. Believe the reviews about assembly. This took a lot longer than anticipated to put together. The parts didn’t align properly but my husband was able to finagle it.
