Just what I was looking for in my kitchen. I needed something with a slightly rustic feel that would still look well-made and fit nicely within the space. This rug is great for what we needed. We were looking for something with a decent pile but not shag. We didn't want to spend a fortune but also didn't want a cheap rug. The rug does feel cushion-ey under the feet, but we do also have a rug pad under it. I wouldn't say the material feels super soft and luxurious to touch, but it feels soft enough and comfortable enough for bare feet, or sitting on it. The rug arrived folded, in a box, and we were concerned about creasing but we rolled it up for one night, then placed it under the bed and we don't notice any creasing and the corners lay flat. It vacuums nicely and doesn't leave any vacuum lines. It's a little more black/white than we expected, and there is a touch of brown in it. The attached pic was taken on a mostly sunny day in a room with natural light, we have lots of grays and gray adjacent hues in the room, and our brown brindle dog for reference to how subtle the brown in the carpet is.
