This is the best idea ever, I love it! I was not thrilled about a dark color so I took fabric and glue gunned it all around the wood pieces after I assembled most of it, their was enough room to do this and it worked great. I used a soft upholstry fabric and also laid batting on the broad surfaces. The mechanism works great and does not shut unless you pull it down. Nice bed, sturdy. This bed replaced another storage bed. The first bed had a floor for the storage space, with space between the storage floor and room floor. This bed did not. I was unsure how I'd like this one. There is quite a bit more space with this one. I chose to put tarp under, but really no need. Love the increased space. This bed is easy to put together and a nice height from the floor. Have been using it for about a month and don't have anything bad to say about it. Wasn't super expensive and seems solid so far.
