The weight of the comforter is good for all seasons - not too heavy nor too lightweight. I was disappointed to learn that the California King and the King are in fact the exact same size. I was hoping the Calif. King would have been a bit longer and wider than the regular King. The only difference I can see is that the dust ruffle is a few inches longer than on the regular King size.
