Craftsmanship
Hand-Blown Glass Technique
Artisans melt glass at approximately 1300℃–1400℃, shaping it with a blowpipe to handcraft a vertically ridged body and wavy ruffled rim. Every undulation preserves the warmth and trace of handcrafted artistry.
Gradient Color Infusion Technique
During the molten glass phase, color is infused in a natural transition from deep green to translucent gray. Gravity and flow create a top-to-bottom gradient effect, lending soft, breathing color layers.
Bubble & Texture Retention
Naturally formed tiny bubbles and vertical ridges from melting and cooling are intentionally retained to enhance handcrafted texture and vintage ambiance. An annealing process (slow cooling at 500℃–600℃) eliminates internal stress, ensuring the vase is sturdy and durable.
This hand blown art glass, sculptural vase with ruffled edges by Orren Ellis is absolutely gorgeous!!! The color is just stunning. It’s a beautiful emerald green color. The ruffled edges and top are clear and it gives the vase an opulent glow. The ruffled top edge is the best part. It’s heart shaped and really striking. I can’t wait to put some actual live flowers in it. This vase deserves a huge bouquet!!!. Donna. Jim Thorpe, PA. Mon Jun 08 2026
