Our lift-top coffee table features a wooden table top that smoothly lifts or lowers by a high-quality metal mechanism and spring. Great for a laptop, writing surface, or tray, this table is versatile and dynamic. It has a dynamic frame with a distinctive finish that works nicely with just about any style or colour scheme. Two lower shelves at the same height give you spots for board games, blankets, and baskets. And the upper compartment is the perfect stowaway location for remotes and coasters.

The instructions were straightforward and the assembly process was mostly easy. The table feels solid, looks nice, and was a great deal. However, the two metal lifting mechanisms included with my package did not match. Only one of them lined up with the diagram on the instructions, and neither one lined up correctly with the screw holes in the table. Ultimately I used a power drill and simply screwed them in as well as I could (I did not want to deal with a back-and-forth attempt at replacements). Now the top panel does not line up completely perfectly with the corners of the table when closed, but fundamentally it works fine and rests level. It's frustrating when the very last step is the one that poses a problem, but this product is still fundamentally good.. Marty. Oakland, CA. Wed Aug 19 2026
