My dogs started using this bed just a few minutes after I opened it! I ordered the size large and two of my medium-sized dogs can comfortably fit on it. It seems nice and cushiony and I like that the cover is removable so I can wash it. I have not had it long enough to test its longevity, but it seems like it has greater potential than most of the other beds I have had. Update: After owning this bed a year, it has still held up mostly well. It does have a little crater in the middle of the bed, but the dogs are still using it. This is an all-natural wood product. There may be slight colour variance between pieces. We use a clear-grade poplar wood, which is by definition defect-free but may contain a few smaller, less noticeable knots.Tools required for assembly, an extra set of hands, and a cordless power drill (14v or stronger). At times you may receive wood that has a green tint to it. This is because we mill it down and expose wood that hasn’t seen much light or air yet. Over the course of a few days or weeks (depending on the lighting and air movement through the room) the green will fade out to light tans and browns.
