Perfect farmhouse dinnerware nicely sized, especially the mugs which are nicely weighted and not too large like many mugs are now days. The dishes are a pleasing medium gray color with darker speckles and bronze/brown-colored rims. This dinnerware seems to be of decent quality and does NOT get hot in the microwave.
One mug came with a chipped rim, and another had a defect inside; one plate had a deep scratch, so I have requested replacements. I used sandpaper on the unglazed bottoms where they were a little rough, so they won't scratch the other plates when stacking. Hopefully, this set won't have to be babied too much because it is basically what I was looking for and was reasonably priced: $40.00 on sale.
