Laveuse / sécheuse électrique tout-en-un GE Power de 4,8 pieds cubes GE Profile

Very disappointing drying performance and repeated failures I have owned this GE Profile UltraFast Combo for about a year, and unfortunately the drying system has been extremely unreliable. The dryer has stopped drying properly approximately six times in the past year. Each time, cleaning the machine and/or unplugging it would temporarily restore the drying function, but the problem would return a few months later. Now the problem has become significantly worse. The machine gets extremely hot and produces a lot of steam, but the clothes remain soaking wet. I tested it with a single towel for 30 minutes. The towel was extremely hot and dripping wet, with a substantial amount of steam inside the drum. Water was draining normally and there was no error code. At this point, it can essentially dry only a very small load such as a few washcloths, while towels remain wet. I also found dampness around the bottom of the evaporator coil area behind the lint filter. For a machine at this price point, I expected much better reliability. The convenience of having a washer and dryer in one unit is great when it works, but repeatedly losing the drying function is a major problem. I am now having to pursue warranty service to determine what is wrong with the heat-pump drying system. I would strongly recommend that potential buyers research the long-term drying reliability and service experience before spending this much on the machine.

When we bought this unit, our family of 5 was extremely excited for this product. With the combo unit, indeed you do not need to worry about the transfer - an exciting thing if you put a load in before bed at night. Unfortunately, we’ve had a lot of issues with the product. Washing seems to be fine. It’s the drying that remains to be a problem. The “sensing” for drying typically leads to extended time. Sometimes the clothes aren’t even dry when the cycle completes. Additionally, the clothes come out extremely wrinkled - to the point where an iron cannot get them out. I am an engineer and have many product launches under my belt. Unfortunately, I believe GE went to market far too soon with this product. We are lifetime GE users - we have this unit, as well as the refrigerator, stove, and even air fryer. With this combo unit, it’s actually already been replaced once without any change, unfortunately. I can’t recommend this product at this time.

Do not buy this product. Has to be cleaned constantly and leaves clothes damp on a regular basis. Shocked that GE would make something like this. TERRIBLE

Like the choice of cycles, I kanardly wait to use it

Absolutely the best laundry system I’ve ever purchased despite the fact that I had one of the largest washer that was able to handle 15-20 towels but this machine is amazing. I am the worst person when it comes to laundry sitting in the washer for a day or so but not anymore. The dry time is a bit longer and I noticed that sometimes the clothes will feel damp at the end of the cycle but I just give em a shake and they are dry. Technology is amazing on this particular product with the smart sensors of auto detergent and softener. I don’t get too hung up about cleaning the lint filter each time because I’ve always done that with any of my washer dryer sets. Love so much extra space that I was able to add a folding area where my dryer once sat. My clothes come out smelling fresh and clean without wrinkles. Quiet with no issues. I recommend this product
